Thirty seconds on who we are and what this community made possible.
A collective, in the truest sense.
She Rises Collective is the first active program of Sons & Daughters Foundation — built from a simple belief: women are stronger when they have other women in their corner.
We create spaces where women can connect, grow, try something new, build genuine friendships, and feel part of something bigger than themselves.
But connection is only the beginning.
We gather. We grow. We give back.
Through community events, workshops, mentorship, local partnerships, donation drives, and service projects, the women of She Rises turn connection into collective impact — supporting women, girls, foster youth, and families throughout our community.
Because She Rises isn’t about one woman rising.
It’s about creating the kind of community where we rise — and reach back for someone else.
She Rises in Bloom
A night to celebrate where we've been and look forward to what's ahead: a garden party honoring the women who showed up all summer, from our first gathering in July to the backpacks in August. Garden party attire, a planting activity, a clothing swap, and a potluck table. Bring a dish or a $20 donation.
A private gathering at a home in Oxnard; the address is shared with your RSVP. Local businesses are invited to help with plants, appreciation gifts, and door prizes.
Holiday 2026: 100 Doves
Our back-to-school drive closed on August 10 — 85 children chose their own backpacks and supplies. This Christmas the women of She Rises are fulfilling 100 Casa Pacifica dove wishes: each red dove carries one young person's wants and needs, and our volunteers will shop, sort, and deliver every gift, unwrapped, to the Camarillo campus. Monetary gifts are what move it forward. Note Dove in your memo.
What the community collected
This list came straight from Casa Pacifica for the August drive. We keep it here so you can see how we work: we ask, then we collect exactly what was asked for. The dove wishes work the same way: each young person writes their own.

This work has already begun.
In July 2026, She Rises Collective hosted its first gathering — the 90s Summer Social — bringing together two dozen women for childhood photos, heartfelt reflections, and a clothing swap. More than sixty pieces were collected, and every item left behind was donated to women in our local community. Local vendors generously contributed food and drinks.
The back-to-school drive is the collective's next step: a community-wide effort, alongside partners like Casa Pacifica and 805 Moms Meet, to make sure local students start the school year with everything they need.
Where the collective goes next
Future possibilities include mentorship circles, life-skills workshops, and leadership development for young women. New initiatives are announced here, on Instagram, and in our newsletter when they launch.
