About Us

Rooted in community. Built for the long term.

Sons & Daughters Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Ventura County, California, created so that children, young people, and families never have to navigate difficult seasons alone.

Mission

Why we exist

To ensure that children, young people, and families do not have to navigate difficult seasons alone — building practical pathways of support through community partnerships, direct assistance, mentorship, education, and opportunities that help people rise.

Vision

Where we're going

A community where every child and family has the relationships, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Approach

How we work

As an umbrella organization: focused programs, like She Rises Collective, deliver direct community initiatives while the foundation provides governance, stewardship, and long-term stability.

Why SDF Exists

Some seasons are too heavy to carry alone.

Foster youth starting a school year without supplies. A young woman without a mentor in her corner. A family stretched past its limits by circumstances no one chose. These moments rarely make headlines, but they shape lives.

Sons & Daughters Foundation was founded on a simple conviction: when a community organizes its generosity well, no child has to face those moments alone. We connect the people who want to help with the young people and families who need it, and we do it with dignity at the center.
